Wanting to Hold People Accountable
A middle-aged Lebanon man, with a court history dating back to 2017, has accumulated $14,896 in additional traffic fines since paying his previous fines in full back in July 2021. Recent violations include multiple charges of Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured in April 2025, October 2025, and again in May 2026. The case also includes a Contempt of Court charge for non-payment of fines and a pending probation violation. This individual currently has 22 active warrants with our Lebanon Municipal Court.**

These crimes should have consequences more than another citation for a court date he'll never show up to or a fine he'll never pay. And this is why the conversation about reopening the Lebanon Jail deserves serious, fact-based discussion. With the bond to build the Justice Center and Library falling off after November 2026, passing the levy will NOT raise taxes -- in fact, taxpayers will still have a decrease on their overall city taxes.
Vote yes and help pass the levy to Reopen the Lebanon Jail this November.
