Demand Outpaces Linn County Jail Availability

We've heard this a few times: Why don't we just rent beds from Linn County? First, we ask in turn, why would we RENT when we OWN?  We have our own jail facility right here in Lebanon. The current cost to house one inmate at the jail is approximately $40,150 annually based on the 2025 rate of $110 a day. Plus, renting 12 beds -- which is what we have in Lebanon -- is not feasible due to limited jail space and capacity needs.

And then there's this: Over the last two years, only two individuals were able to serve out their sentence at the Linn County Jail. All others were not taken into the jail due to limited space.

Help us pass the jail levy this November and Reopen the Lebanon Jail.
